1. Advanced formatting in Telegram will soon become a paid feature. Judging by beta tests, headings, lists, quotes and code blocks are becoming exclusive to Premium subscribers
2. The Telegram beta for Android (v12.9.0) now lets you add bots to communities. The test server has a limit of up to 10 bots per community (the limit for the main version hasn't been announced yet). To add a bot, open its settings and select "Add bot to community"
3. BotFather now has BotCloud, a feature that lets you run JavaScript code directly on Telegram's servers. Developers no longer need to rent third-party servers or set up webhooks: all cloud functions will be managed in an in-app editor
4. Meta released Muse Spark 1.1, a high-performance model (on par with GPT-5.5/Opus 4.8) designed for multi-agent systems and long contexts (up to 1M tokens)
5. OpenAI introduced its updated GPT-5.6 lineup, which comes in three versions. The premium Sol model is comparable in capabilities to Fable, while the free Terra and Luna models target a broad audience
6. Anthropic introduced Claude Science, an AI lab for scientists. It's not a new neural network but a layer on top of Claude with a multi-agent architecture. The main agent works like a project manager: it creates "subagents" for tasks and a separate "fact-checker" to verify accuracy. It has access to more than 60 scientific databases.
7. SpaceX put the first commercial nuclear satellite into orbit.
A Falcon 9 rocket delivered the BOHR spacecraft to orbit. The patented technology generates energy continuously from the natural beta decay of tritium rather than nuclear fission. Thanks to this, the satellite can operate for years without solar panels. It's key to deep-space missions and the dark regions of the Solar System.
8. Instagram is using your photos to train AI. The new Muse Image model can generate images based on photos from public profiles. Since this option is on by default, users' images (including faces) are used for AI generation without separate consent. To opt out, go to Sharing and reuse and turn off Allow people to reuse your content on Instagram* and with AI features at Meta*.
*Meta, which owns Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, is designated an extremist organization and banned in Russia.
9. ChatGPT's voice has become even more human! OpenAI introduced GPT-Live, a new technology that lets the AI listen and respond almost instantly. The model has learned to recognize when you pause and no longer interrupts you in an argument.
The model will also be able to handle extra tasks in the background while you talk to it. iPhone owners will be the first to try these features.
10. Apple introduced a new wallpaper mechanic in iOS 27. Thanks to an updated depth effect, the animation when you pull down the notification shade is smoother. As your finger moves, part of the image appears in sync with the shade, and then the rest of the background loads seamlessly. The feature is available in the current developer beta.
11. Anthropic removed a hidden tracker in Claude Code that used steganography to track Chinese users. The company explained it as an attempt to protect its intellectual property from model copying and illegal subscription reselling, but security experts criticized the use of covert monitoring in a tool that requires a high level of trust.
